By and large, we maintain a doctor’s visit and checkup schedule to once every month till the first 7 months, then once in 15 days till 36 weeks and weekly till delivery. In exceptional situations or high-risk pregnancy sometimes we may ask a pregnant woman to visit the doctor more frequently.

  • Abortion / Termination of Pregnancy
    An abortion is a way of ending an unwanted pregnancy, either through using Medicines (drugs) or a surgical procedure. The Medical termination act of India (1971) allows termination of a pregnancy till 12 weeks under the supervision of one qualified doctor and up to 20 weeks (under certain circumstances only) if two qualified doctors give consent for the procedure.
